EFT is extremely successful in releasing trauma, especially in relation to specific memories or events; whether it is a car crash, a rape attack, war memory, the shock of being made redundant from work, the sudden ending of a close relationship or a child being bullied at school (even a child being told off by a teacher in front of their classmates can be traumatic for them).

These are just a few of the many kinds of traumatic events that we encounter in our world today.

Modern science tells us that every cell of our body is made of energy.

Each cell has a memory and our traumatic memories are usually stored within those cells, manifesting as interference in our lives which holds us back from having the very things we want and being the person we are meant to become.

Unless the interference is released effectively, we can go through life being prone to fear, anxiety, anger, hurt, guilt, low self-esteem and feeling stuck - completely unnecessarily!

EFT enables you to gently neutralise the physical and emotional intensity of specific traumatic memories and restore a healthy energy flow to the body and mind - allowing you to quickly move forward and create new ways of being in all aspects of your life.

 Case history
Please note that we have changed the names of those involved in
this case history, in the interests of confidentiality.

Jenny was nine years old and her mother, Susie, had brought her to see me because she believed that her daughter had been traumatised by witnessing something accidentally when she came home from school.

Susie had been in an abusive relationship at the time and had done her best to protect daughter.

Even though she had left the relationship a year ago and made a fresh start in a new location, Jenny was terrified of going to school and being away from her mum.

She was nervous and tearful most of the time.

During the first session together we learned that Jenny had arrived home from school one day to see her mum being burned on the arm with a cigarette by her boyfriend – he was hitting her and shouting loudly and only stopped when he noticed Jenny standing by the door, frozen to the spot.

In that moment, Jenny made a decision that it was not safe to go to school and leave her mum alone.

A year later, Jenny’s fear was getting worse, and was beginning to affect other areas in her life.

We applied EFT to the many aspects of this specific memory and Jenny released the fear, shock, anger, sadness and upset on this event in just one session.

In the next session, we cleared two other specific memories from that period that Jenny found upsetting.  We also worked on her fear of going to school and leaving her mum which only took about five minutes.

If we hadn’t used EFT to clear this issue it might have taken several months or years with any other kind of treatment or talking therapy.

Jenny is now enjoying being back at school, she has made some new friends, and says that she is much happier.

Her mum Susie is enjoying the benefits of being present during my sessions with Jenny and reports that she has more self-confidence – she is also in a new, healthy relationship.
