Our experience shows that these issues are occur at the same time because if you constantly feel anxious you don’t have enough self confidence to achieve the life really want to for fear of what might happen if you get it wrong.  
 
To put it another way, if you don’t feel secure about yourself and what you can do, then just leading a normal life very frightening, a life where things are bound to go wrong and it feels like you are lacking in some way.
 
This pattern is often connected with perfectionism; which means having to get things right all of the time, or fear of failure which is the opposite side of the same coin where you don’t take any action in case it doesn’t work out perfectly.
 
 
Panic attacks
 
The unconscious mind often produces the 'fight or flight' response when we’re faced with an irrational fear and this can lead to panic attacks.
 
This is because the mind is trying to protect us or avoid exposure to the feared event.  
 
Panic attacks are frequently seen by GPs who are only able to prescribe beta blockers and similar drugs – which merely treat the symptoms.  
 
Hypnotherapy can really help to achieve relaxation in any panic situation and addresses the unconscious mind’s response to the panic / anxiety.
